Where do we Fish?

We fish in the Bay near Pt. Nepean, Quarantine Bay, Portsea, Queenscliff, Swan Bay and St. Leonard's

depending on weather conditions and where the fish are biting.

For those of you who prefer the security of fishing inside Port Phillip Heads, this is the perfect boat for you.

Due to speed regulations Kyena is not permitted to travel through the Heads and all of our fishing is done in locations

within the Bay

What do we catch?

These days we are proud to offer an improved variety of fishing options and target species to our list.

Sure we still fish the reefs species such as Snapper, Leatherjacket and Perch,

but now we also troll for Salmon when the tide is suitable or the birds are "working" the water in the area.

We now also travel up the bay to the sheltered waters in and around Swan Bay to anchor up for Whiting,

Pinkies/Snapper and Calamari. Alternatively we may travel further up the bay towards St Leonard's

where we also target Flathead, Whiting, Calamariand the occasional Gummy Shark caught as a by-catch.

All these are 1st class table fish, cleaned and filleted on the boat.

Bagged up ready for you to take home and eat.

By-catches include Gummy School Shark, Barracuda, Snook, Trevally,Short-finned Pike, Blue Throat Wrasse,

Arrow-Squid, Gurnard, Blue Devil Fish, Garfish and many others..
